In the Face of Disaster, White Helmets were Alive with Hope

Racing against time, the Syria Civil Defence (White Helmets), fueled only by hope and faith, gave their all to find and rescue survivors of the huge Feb. 6 earthquakes.
With every life saved, their prayers were raised, and hope was lifted. If they could rescue one, they could rescue a dozen. And if they could rescue a dozen, they could rescue hundreds. And they did!
The term “Heroes” may be overused for some people, but not for the White Helmets. They are heroes in every sense of the word. They gave every last bit of their energy, strength, and determination to save lives.
And let us say, they are not new to saving lives. The perpetual bombing of their cities by Assad, Russia, and Iran have given them much needed experience in digging survivors from the rubble, and giving medical treatment.
The men and women of the White Helmets are the heroes and heroines of the century! Thank God for each and every one of them.
