Merry Christmas from the children of Syria

Merry Christmas from the children of Syria

Amid the sounds of bombs and bullets, the innocence of childhood dies. These are the tears of war, shed by the smallest and most vulnerable ones. Torn from their homes and families, forced to flee or endure. These are the children of conflict, trapped in a nightmare from which they cannot wake. They are the survivors, scarred by what they’ve seen. They are forgotten, neglected, and alone. Left to pick up the pieces of their broken dreams. These are the tears of war, a river of sorrow that flows without end. We must not turn away but stand with these children and be their friend; for they are the future robbed of their potential and hope; we must not let their tears be in vain but fight for their rights and help them cope; these are the tears of war a reminder of the cost of conflict and hate; let us strive for peace and give these children’s future all we can possibly give!
