Our Drawings Will Be Stronger Than Their Weapons
The talented Syrian painter, Salam Hamid, uses her artistic skills to document the suffering and tragedies placed upon her people by the Assad regime and its allies.
Her graphic and colorful paintings represent pain and sadness, as well as hope, pain, and dreams.
The art is inspiring and amazing!
She points out that in these 11 years, the Syrian people have risen from the rubble left by bombs, and rebuilt, growing stronger, not weaker.
Salam says, “There will come a day when our drawings will be stronger than their weapons”.
The world will see from these paintings, the history of the war, and the pain as well.
But one day they will paint freedom and peace for the great Syrian people.
