World Children’s Day, we’re taking a moment to remember the children of Syria.

In a world where even their simplest dreams are denied them, they still hope for peace and stability—for an end to the fighting that has torn their lives apart. And we have a simple question for them: who is your #hero?

With just one simple question, the children of NW Syria reveal not just their hopes and dreams, but the depths of the reality Syrians have been living in for the past 11 years.

World Children’s Day is a time to celebrate our children’s resilience and perseverance. It is also a time to acknowledge that they have suffered greatly, and continue to suffer due to war.

The hope and resilience shown by these children are truly inspiring. They are the future of Syria, and they deserve a chance to grow up in a peaceful country.

The children of NW Syria don’t just want to be like their heroes; they want to be like them. They want to save lives and help others in need. They want to be able to go outside and play without fear, without worrying about being bombed by planes or missiles, or artillery shells. They want peace as much as we do.

We hope that this video will help you understand what life is like for Syrian children today.
